What is the Eligibility Criteria for Different Courses?

Before you fill the form, check if you are eligible for the course group you want to join. DCECE is divided into three main categories:

• Polytechnic Engineering (PE): You must have passed or be appearing in the 10th (Matric) exam with at least 35% marks. There is no age limit for this group.
• Para Medical Matric Level (PMM): This is for the Dresser course. You need to be 10th pass. Age should be between 15 to 30 years as of Dec 31, 2026.
• Para Medical Intermediate Level (PM): For Diploma in Pharmacy, GNM, or ANM. You must be 12th pass (Science). Age limit is generally 17 to 32/35 years.

What is the Exam Pattern for DCECE?

All exams are conducted offline (OMR based) and last for 2 hours 15 minutes. The good news is that there is no negative marking! Each question carries 5 marks. Here is the pattern for the PE group:

• Physics: 30 Questions (150 Marks)
• Chemistry: 30 Questions (150 Marks)
• Mathematics: 30 Questions (150 Marks)
• Total: 90 Questions (450 Marks)

Steps to Apply Online for Bihar Polytechnic 2026?

1. Visit the official portal: bceceboard.bihar.gov.in.
2. Click on "Online Portal of DCECE-2026" and select "New Registration".
3. Enter your mobile number and email to get an OTP and verify it.
4. Login and fill your personal and educational details.
5. Upload your photo and signature. (Photo must have your name and date printed on it).
6. Pay the fee and download the "Part A & Part B" application form for counseling.
