How to download JEE Main 2026 Session 2 Answer Key and Response Sheet?
Downloading your response sheet is important because it shows exactly what you marked in the exam. Here are the simple steps to follow:
- 1. Visit the official NTA website: jeemain.nta.nic.in.
- 2. Click on the link "Challenge regarding Answer Key" or "Provisional Answer Key Session 2".
- 3. Log in using your Application Number and Date of Birth (or Password).
- 4. Once logged in, you will see options for "View Question Paper" and "View/Challenge Answer Key".
- 5. Download both the Answer Key and your Response Sheet for future reference.
How to challenge the JEE Main Provisional Answer Key?
If you think NTA's answer is wrong and yours is correct, you can challenge it. But remember, it costs money! Here is the process:
- After logging in, click on "Challenge(s) regarding Answer Key".
- The question IDs will be listed. Select the Question ID you want to challenge.
- Choose the Option ID which you think is correct.
- Upload supporting documents (a single PDF file explaining why your answer is right).
- Pay the non-refundable fee of Rs. 200 per question.
- Keep the payment receipt safe.
How to calculate your marks using the answer key?
Calculating your score is easy. Just follow this simple formula based on the official marking scheme:
- Correct Answer: +4 Marks
- Incorrect Answer: -1 Mark
- Unattempted Question: 0 Marks
Add up all your correct marks and subtract the negative marks for wrong attempts. This will be your raw score. NTA will later convert this into a NTA Score (Percentile).
