How to download the NTA CUET UG Answer Key 2026?

Checking your answer key is very easy process. You just need to follow these simple steps given below to get your response sheet from official portal:

1. First, visit the official website of NTA CUET at cuet.nta.nic.in.
2. On homepage, look for the link that says "Provisional CUET UG 2026 Answer Key & Response Sheet".
3. Click on that link and it will redirect you to a new login page.
4. Enter your Application Number and Password (or Date of Birth) very carefully.
5. Solve the security captcha pin and hit the submit button.
6. Your subject-wise provisional answer key and personal response sheet will appear on screen. Download the PDF for future reference.

What is the marking scheme to calculate your score?

Once you open your response sheet alongside answer key, you can calculate your raw score easily. NTA follows a strict marking rule for this CBT exam, which is detailed here:

• Correct Answer: You will get $+1$ mark for every right option.
• Incorrect Answer: There is a negative marking. $-0.25$ (or $1/4$th) marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.
• Unattempted Questions: No marks will be given or deducted ($0$ marks) if you left any question blank.

How to challenge the provisional CUET UG Answer Key?

If you feel that NTA has given a wrong answer for any question, you have the full right to challenge it. But remember, the objection window is open only for two days, till June 11, 2026. Here is how you can do it:

• Log in to official website using your login credentials.
• Click on the "View/Challenge Answer Keys" tab option.
• Select the question IDs you wish to object against and mark the correct option according to your knowledge.
• You must upload a supporting document (like standard textbook reference) in a single combined PDF format to prove your point.
• Pay a non-refundable processing fee of ₹200 per question challenged. Payment can be done online through debit card, credit card, or UPI.

Subject experts will review all challenges. If your objection is found correct, the key will be updated and a final answer key will be released based on which results are prepared.
