Under the Agnipath scheme, the recruitment for the 2026-27 cycle has started. This is a massive opportunity for young boys and girls to join the Army as Agniveers for a 4-year service period.
When is the Indian Army Agniveer 2027 Registration Starting?
The registration process for the 2027 intake has already begun in February 2026. You must apply online before the link expires. Below are the tentative dates for the recruitment cycle:

Who Can Apply? (Eligibility Criteria)
The eligibility depends on which post you are applying for. Make sure you check the age and education requirements carefully, as even a small mistake in the form can lead to rejection.
- Age Limit: Candidates must be between 17.5 to 21 years. For the 2027 intake, your birth date should fall between 01 July 2005 to 01 July 2009.
- Agniveer GD: 10th/Matric pass with 45% marks in aggregate and 33% in each subject.
- Agniveer Technical: 10+2/Intermediate in Science (PCM & English) with 50% marks.
- Agniveer Clerk / SKT: 10+2 in any stream with 60% marks. 50% in English and Maths is mandatory.
- Agniveer Tradesman: Simple 8th or 10th pass (with 33% in each subject).
What is the Selection Process for Agniveer?
The selection is now divided into two main phases. Earlier, the rally was first, but now you have to clear the written exam first.
- Phase I (Online CEE): This is a computer-based written test. You need to score minimum passing marks to qualify for the next round.
- Phase II (Recruitment Rally): Shortlisted candidates will be called for Physical Fitness Test (PFT), Physical Measurement, and Medical Examination at the rally site.
Physical Standards for Army Rally 2027
Physical fitness is the most important part of the Indian Army. Here are the basic requirements:
- 1.6 KM Run:
- Group I: Within 5 min 30 sec (60 Marks)
- Group II: 5 min 31 sec to 5 min 45 sec (48 Marks)
- Pull Ups (Beams): 10 pulls ups give you 40 marks.
- 9 Feet Ditch: Need to qualify (no marks).
- Zig-Zag Balance: Need to qualify (no marks).
