Who is eligible to apply for NFR Apprentice form?
Before filling up the online application form, please make sure you fulfill the following criteria carefully:
- Age Limit (As on 19-08-2026): The candidate must be between 15 to 24 years of age.
- Age Relaxation: Upper age relaxation is given to reserved categories as per government rules. SC/ST gets 5 years relaxation, OBC gets 3 years, and PwBD candidates get 10 years relaxation.
- Educational Qualification: You must have passed Class 10th (Matriculation) under the 10+2 system with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks from a recognized board. Along with this, a National Trade Certificate (ITI) in the respective trade issued by NCVT or SCVT is mandatory.
- For Medical Laboratory Technician: If you are applying for MLT (Pathology or Radiology), you should have passed Class 12th in Science stream (with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology) along with 50% marks in both 10th and 12th standard.
What is the application fee for different categories?
The application fee must be paid online through payment modes like debit card, credit card, or internet banking. The fee is very nominal, and many categories enjoy full exemption:
- General / OBC / EWS (Male Candidates): Rs. 100/-
- SC / ST / PwBD / Female Candidates: Nil (Exempted)
- EBC Candidates: Nil (Family income should be less than Rs. 50,000/- per annum and you must upload a valid income certificate issued on or after 01-04-2026).
How will the selection be done?
There is absolutely no exam or interview for these posts. The selection is entirely merit-based. A merit list will be prepared by taking the average of percentage marks obtained in your Class 10th Matriculation and your ITI trade marks. Shortlisted candidates will be called for Document Verification (DV), where you have to show all original certificates and submit a medical fitness certificate.

Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend during their 1-year training period. As per the latest rules, the minimum stipend for NTC/STC holders starts from Rs. 9,600/- per month. For trades where training extends to 2nd or 3rd year, there will be a 10% and 15% increment respectively.
