1. Educational Qualification:
- ASI (Pharmacist): Must have passed 10+2 standard. Along with this, you need a recognized Diploma or Degree in Pharmacy and you must be registered as a "Pharmacist" under Pharmacy Act 1948.
- ASI (X-Ray Technician): 10+2 pass with Science subject. Also requires a 2-year Diploma in Radiography from a recognized institute.
- ASI (Lab Technician): 10+2 pass with Science. Plus, a 2-year Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT) from any institute recognized by Central or State government.
2. Age Limit (As on 07/07/2026):
The standard age limit for all direct candidates is 18 to 28 years. However, there is some relaxation in upper age limit for reserved categories according to government guidelines:
- OBC Candidates: 3 years relaxation (up to 31 years)
- SC/ST Candidates: 5 years relaxation (up to 33 years)

What is the selection process for CISF Paramedical Staff?
To get selected in this department, candidates have to pass through multiple stages. You need to qualify each step to move to next round:
- Written Examination: It will be conducted either in OMR mode or as a Computer Based Test (CBT). The paper will have 100 objective-type questions carrying 1 mark each. - Physical Standard Test (PST): For General/OBC/SC/EWS categories, the minimum height requirement is 170 cm for male candidates and 157 cm for female candidates. Chest for males should be 80-85 cm (with 5 cm expansion).

- Basic Vocational Aptitude Test (BVAT): This is a trade or skill test to check your actual professional knowledge in pharmacy, lab work, or radiography.
